Twenty-five fourth and fifth grade students at the Augustine F. Maloney School have recently joined the after school Knitting Club. This club is being sponsored by the Blackstone-Millville Regional High School Cancer Fundraising Club and coordinated by fourth grade teacher/volunteer, Maureen Warren. The purpose for the knitting club is to create comfortable shawls for cancer patients while having fun learning how to knit. In addition to the fourth and fifth grade students, any faculty members from Augustine F. Maloney, John F. Kennedy, Frederick W. Hartnett Middle and Blackstone-Millville Regional High Schools have volunteered to assist the students in learning the craft of knitting in this worthwhile project.
