Mr. Johnson spent many hours creating a new website for the athletic department that contains a lot of valuable information and is very viewer friendly. Mr. Johnson has also been working with coaches to post BMR records and achievements for fans and alumni to browse through which has brought back many memories for former BMR athletes.

BMR’s new website also includes links to updated practice and game schedules along with a short bio of some of the coaching staff.

The drop-off and pick-up procedures have changed for the JFK and AFM Students. All students of the Complex (K-5) who are being driven by a parent will be dropped off and picked up in the back of JFK on Mendon Street.

Keep in mind that students can not be dropped off before 8:40 (there is no supervision) and should arrive no later than 8:55, which is the official start of the school day. It is important that students are in their classrooms at that time. Please proceed to Mendon Street and drop off in the “loop” near the double doors of the JFK building. There will be staff members on duty to supervise your children, so there will be no need for you to work your child into the building. In anticipation of a large number of cars waiting to drop off, we ask that this be a “kiss and drop” zone. To facilitate the process, we ask that you remain in line, and if your car is situated at any point alongside the sidewalk, your child may exit the car to walk safely to the doors. Please do not allow your child to exit your car if you aren’t next to the sidewalk. Wait until the cars in front of you move, and then continue as far up the sidewalk area as you can so cars benind you can pull up as well. This will help eliminate traffic back up on Mendon Street. Please keep in mind that there will be other students walking to the doors, so we ask you to drive slowly and cautiously.

For those students being picked up at the end of the day, we ask that you send a note to school with your child in the morning. If there is a change of plan during the day and you must pick up, we ask you to notify the office as soon as possible. At the end of the day the students being picked up will be called to the back of JFK (same location as morning drop-off). Doors will be unlocked at 2:55 and you may enter the building and wait in the “ramp area” for dismissal. At this point you will be asked to sign your child out and present a license. If we don’t recognize you. The intent is not to make this process more difficult, in fact it is intended to keep your child safe and ensure that he/she goes home with the right person. Please know that while you are waiting classes are still in session, so we ask that you talk quietly so as not to disrupt classes. Parent pick-ups will be called at 3:02. There will no longer be a need for you to report to the JFK or AFM office unless you are picking your child up before the official end of the school day.

Maloney School have recently joined the after school Knitting Club. This club is being sponsored by the Blackstone-Millville Regional High School Cancer Fundraising Club and coordinated by fourth grade teacher/volunteer, Maureen Warren. The purpose for the knitting club is to create comfortable shawls for cancer patients while having fun learning how to knit. In addition to the fourth and fifth grade students, any faculty members from Augustine F. Maloney, John F. Kennedy, Frederick W. Hartnett Middle and Blackstone-Millville Regional High Schools have volunteered to assist the students in learning the craft of knitting in this worthwhile project.
